HEATER + CHILLER
We have partnered with Nordsprings, an Austin-based thermal wellness company that designs, builds, and installs hot tub cedar barrel tubs and cold plunges. Along with a licensed electrician, they can install an electric 240V heater + chiller on your Delphina Pool after our team has installed the pool.
-
Process:
-
All purchasing and installation goes through Nordsprings, not Delphina Pools.

Price:
-
This is a premium product and not inexpensive, but it is high-quality, fast, and easy. Because the equipment is rated for larger-sized pools, it works very well on a Delphina pool.
-
Use code DELPHINAPOOLS at checkout to get this system for $5,000 (delivery & installation in Austin, does not include electrical work).
-
Once installed:
-
To get to your ideal temperature: roughly $5 dollars per day (exact numbers depend on the ambient air temperature and desired pool temperature).
-
To maintain the temperature: roughly $3 per day
-
-
-
Capabilities:
-
Depending on the outside temperature, the system can heat or chill your Delphina Pool to any temperature between 54°F and 104°F. You set the temperature with an easy interface on the heater + chiller.
-
The system works most efficiently when the ambient temperature is between 50°F and 95°F. Outside this range, performance may decrease, and it might not be able to achieve these temperatures.
-
Heat pumps are more energy-efficient in warmer weather, as they rely on extracting heat from the air rather than generating it.
-
To get the pool water to your ideal temperature, roughly allocate 1 hour per 2 degrees. For example, if you want to get your pool water from 50 degrees to 100 degrees, allocate 25 hours. Then, the heater will maintain that set temperature.
-
-
Electrical:
-
If you want to add this to your pool, consult an electrician. Adding 240v equipment could require a larger conduit, so it's helpful for them to know that ahead of having any work done.
-
The system requires both a 240V connection and a 120V outlet within 3 feet of the heater +chiller, and the amperage details are on the Nordsprings website (link below).
-
The system utilizes the Raypak Crosswind 30-i.
-
-
Placement:
-
Due to the size of the system, it will live entirely OUTSIDE of the pool wrap (images below). The equipment will no longer live in the cabinet. This means tubes will come out from under the pool wrap.
-
The tubes can be buried or run along a fence if desired, and a landscaper can be hired to do this.
